I didn’t “lose my pink”. My pink is the pinkest it I didn’t “lose my pink”. My pink is the pinkest it’s ever been because of her. 💖
you’re beautiful, every little piece, love 🦋 We’r you’re beautiful, every little piece, love 🦋

We’re just a tiiiny bit late here on the eve of her next month milestone, but Isabelle’s debut era last month couldn’t have been sweeter. After a little over three weeks in the NICU, it was actual pure magic to bring baby girl home and start settling into our new life 💚 She loves sleeping (🙏🏻), baths (as long as the temperature is ✨just right✨ otherwise we hate it 🙃), and watching lots of Summer House with Mommy (being born just in time for her first Bravo scandal? Chic!). Mom and Dad are surviving and maybe even kind of thriving?? Or we’re just so excited to not be at the hospital every day anymore that everything feels a million times better 🍀

See you next era… ✨

23 days in the NICU and 2 and a 1/2 weeks at home 23 days in the NICU and 2 and a 1/2 weeks at home later, and here we are, my very first Mother’s Day and ✨finally✨ our first matching outfits (excluding us both being in diapers for a few weeks there 🙃) The ones I painstakingly picked out, envisioning our cute hospital photos, the ones everyone takes - the f*ck yeah, I just did that photo, the announcement sign in the bassinet, the new family photos staring wondrously at one another and the new tiny human we just brought into the world 🩷

Because everyone tells you how to prepare for the perfect postpartum experience, but nobody really tells you how to handle when it all goes to hell in the first 30 seconds. When your skin to skin moment turns into your baby being rushed to the NICU, when you don’t get your baby in a bassinet at your hospital bedside and instead spend your recovery trekking the floors of the hospital to see her, and possibly the worst feeling in the entire world, being discharged without her and having to leave her behind while you return to a home that was ready for her arrival.

But everyone also said it would feel so far away at some point, like a blip on the radar of life. And even though it’s still raw and emotional right now, and sometimes I still feel angry and robbed of the “perfect” postpartum experience, today is Mother’s Day, and I only feel the most radiant joy and sunshine beaming from every part of my body because I get to be Isabelle’s mom, forever and always 💖
this is 36 💖 wearing diapers full of witch hazel a this is 36 💖 wearing diapers full of witch hazel and dermoplast, the one pair of shoes that fit my puffy postpartum tootsies, all the NICU visits for hours on end, staring in awe at the cutest, grumpiest baby girl, pumping every 3 hours like clockwork, anxiously waiting to hear the magic “D” word that feels like Macbeth in a theatre 🍼 next year we’ll celebrate again but for this birthday, yesterday was perfect ✨
Your little hand’s wrapped around my finger and it Your little hand’s wrapped around my finger and it’s so quiet in the world tonight 🫶🏻✨🩷 Introducing Miss Isabelle Eloise who made her debut elegantly right on time on April 1st at 9:44am 👶🏻 With all the intensity and dramatics of a true Aries queen, she wanted to make her presence known to everyone she possibly could and made an unexpected detour to the NICU where she is currently under the best possible care she could be and doing so, so well 💗🩺 We are forever grateful for both our teams at our hospital who jumped into action immediately, and we are absolutely, completely, and madly in love with our feisty little fighter 💖
